Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk announced today that she is endorsing Mayor Dave Cieslewicz for Madison mayor.

"Mayor Dave and I have been friends for many decades,” Falk said. “I worked hard to help first elect him 8 years ago--and then again 4 years ago.  There is more we need him to do:  standing up to the Walker agenda, improving transportation options to get us to work, and creating the ‘greenest city’ we can be."

“Kathleen Falk has worked tirelessly for our community throughout her career,” Mayor Cieslewicz said. “I am proud to have the support of a strong leader who has fought to improve our community, protect our most vulnerable citizens and blaze a trail for those who’ve followed in her footsteps.

Falk joins the broad base of support for Mayor Dave from across the spectrum, including Fair Wisconsin, Firefighters Local 311, Madison Professional Police Association, AFSCME Local 60, the Building and Construction Trades Council of South Central Wisconsin, Teamsters Local 695, SEIU, Downtown Madison Inc., the Sierra Club, half of the city council and hundreds of community leaders.
